After
a boot trip through the largest conservation area of mangrove swamps in
Central America you will reach the Corcovado National park which National
geographic magazine described as “Biologically, the most intense place
on earth”. You will be guided on your hike trough the park by extremely
knowledgeable bilingual naturalist guides, who will help you discover the
secrets of this amazing and unique habitat.
On
the boat trip to Cano island we will pass through the Sierpe river mangroves
and the scenic Drake bay. After snorkeling in the clear waters around the
island a light lunch will wait for you at the beach. Then we will take one
of the trails to an archeological cemetery where your tour guide will tell
you about the mysterious stone balls made by an ancient Indian culture.
You
will be hiking through one of the most beautiful areas in Costa Rica. Stunning
beaches, magnificent islands offshore and lush rainforests laced with a
network of welcoming trails. You are virtually guaranteed close up encounters
with monkeys, sloths, coatimundis and scarlet macaws.
Costa
Rica fishing is best known for sailfish (up to 220 lbs) with other species
thrown in for good measure. On a typical trip - in addition to great fishing
- you will very likely see dolphins, sea turtles and at times, even whales
which come in the area to give birth.
